These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Next of Kiln Studio website, services, bookings, purchases, and participation in studio activities. By accessing our website, booking a class, or visiting our studio, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Bookings & Reservations

  • Class bookings require full payment at the time of booking.

  • Party packages require a deposit to secure the date, with remaining balances due as outlined at booking.

  • For general studio painting sessions, payment is made after you’ve finished painting.

  • Booking confirmations are sent electronically.

3. Cancellations, Rescheduling & No-Shows

  • Cancellation and rescheduling policies may vary by class or event and will be clearly communicated at the time of booking.

  • Missed sessions or no-shows may not be eligible for refunds.

  • In the event that Next of Kiln Studio must cancel a class, guests will be offered a reschedule, studio credit, or refund.

4. Pricing & Payments

  • Prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are subject to change without notice.

  • Applicable taxes will be added at checkout.

  • Pottery pieces are priced individually; prices vary by size and style.

  • Finished pieces, classes, and experiences are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

5. Pottery Painting & Firing

  • Due to the nature of ceramics, variations in colour, finish, size, or minor imperfections may occur.

  • Not all pieces survive the firing process. While rare, cracking, warping, or glaze irregularities can occur.

  • Firing Guarantee: If a piece does not make it through the firing process, we will work to make it right by offering a studio credit or a replacement piece, at our discretion.

  • Firing typically takes approximately 7 days, though timelines may vary.

6. Pickup, Storage & Shipping

  • Guests will be notified when pieces are ready for pickup.

  • Finished pieces should be picked up within a reasonable timeframe.

  • Due to limited storage space, unclaimed items may be donated or disposed of after extended periods.

  • Shipping is available for most pieces and is subject to our Shipping Policy.

7. Studio Conduct & Safety

  • Guests must follow staff instructions and studio guidelines at all times.

  • We reserve the right to refuse service or ask guests to leave if behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, or disrespectful.

  • Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times unless participating in a designated program.

8. Assumption of Risk & Liability

  • Participation in pottery painting and studio activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to the use of tools, materials, and equipment.

  • By participating, you assume all risks associated with the activity.

  • Next of Kiln Studio is not liable for injuries, loss, or damage to personal property, except where required by law.

9. Gift Cards & Promotions

  • Gift cards have no cash value and are non-refundable.

  • Gift cards cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.

  • Promotions, discounts, or special offers may be subject to additional terms.

10. Intellectual Property

  • All website content, branding, logos, text, and images are the property of Next of Kiln Studio and may not be used without written permission.

11. Privacy

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect and use personal information.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our website.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the applicable laws of Canada.

14. Content Standards & Refusal of Service

Next of Kiln Studio reserves the right to refuse firing, glazing, or processing of any pottery piece that includes hateful, discriminatory, or harmful language, symbols, or imagery. In such cases, guests will be notified and alternative options may be discussed.
